What data Simply Matched collects, how it's used, who can see it, and how to delete it. Plain-language privacy policy for the UAE's free dating app.

What we collect

To run a dating service we store the information you give us when you sign up and use the app:

Account details — email address, name, age, and gender
Profile content — photos, bio, your emirate and chosen area, and preferences (age range, who you want to meet)
Approximate location, when you choose to share it, to show distance to matches
Messages you exchange with your matches
Reports you make and blocks you set, so we can act on them

How we use it

Your data is used to run the service: showing your profile to potential matches, prioritising people near you, delivering messages, sending account emails (verification, password reset), and keeping the community safe through moderation. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we do not use your messages for advertising.

What other members see

Other members see your profile as you built it: first name, age, photos, bio, area, and an approximate distance. They never see your email address, your exact coordinates, or your account details. Only people you've matched with can message you.

Your controls

You stay in control of your data:

Hide your profile from discovery at any time in Settings
Hide your profile from people at your own company
Block any member permanently, in one tap
Delete your account from Settings — this removes your profile from the service
Ask us anything about your data via the contact page

Storage and security

Data is stored on secured servers, transmitted over HTTPS, and passwords are stored only as salted hashes — we cannot read them. Access to production systems is restricted to the operating team.

This policy is written in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, or you want a copy or deletion of your data, contact us and a human will respond.
